Country Short Course Championships
On 4-5 July 2015, we had 37 swimmers representing our Club at the NSW Short Course Country Championships at SOPAC.
Our Club placed 7th overall, with the next SESA based club finishing in 12th place.
We won a total of 10 medals, details of which are as follows (in alphabetical order):

Josh King – 3rd 15 & over 4 x 100m freestyle relay
Kaitlin McKeon – 3nd 15 & over 200m backstroke, 2nd 15 & over 4 x 100m freestyle relay, 3rd 15 & over 4 x 100m medley relay
Vladimir Pan - 3rd 15 & over 4 x 100m freestyle relay
Jarrod Poort – 1st 15 & over 1500m freestyle, 3rd 15 & over 4 x 100m freestyle relay
Wes Roberts - 3rd 15 & over 4 x 100m freestyle relay

We had many swimmers with top ten finishes, some of whom had top ten finished in multiple events including: Aria Bacic-Johnston, Justus Bacic-Johnston, Alyisha Beckingham, Sydney Brown, Sebastian Buchanan, Aaron Cannon, Dane Corolla, Dannika Creati, Bailey Crehan, Kiana Eady, Brendan Eastman, Jade Gray, Holly Hayne, Bailey Krstevski, Kaitlin McKeon, Max Parkes, Jarrod Poort, Riley Powell, Hayley Seeney, Caitlin Smith, Griffin Spicknall, Daniel St George, Rachael Thompson, Oriane Villiers and Jason Vugrek.
Most pleasing of all was that 33 out of our 37 swimmers swam PBs over the weekend!
Thank you to Bruce Cannon, Aaron Cannon and Bonnie Uzelac for working as officials throughout the weekend. Also thank you to all of the parents who were involved in timekeeping during the meet.
We look forward to a successful WIAQ meet in August followed by State Age Short Course Championships in August and State Open Short Course Championships in September!
